Pastor's letter

We are in the midst of Lent as well as the weather slowing warming. Spring is probably my favorite season just for its beauty and the new life that springs forth.  Lent is important in the church year as we ready ourselves for Holy Week and the resurrection of our Savior on Easter morning. Often we pause and reflect during Lent. Lent is a time when we anticipate the resurrection and new life that we joyfully celebrate on Easter morning.
This year we continue with the prayer challenge of making prayer a priority in our lives through the Lenten season. As we journey through Lent we will focus on various forms of prayer and making prayer a priority. I am excited to journey with you and hear about how God is working in and through your prayer life.

Another wonderful thing happening in the life of our congregation is the women’s ministry events.
In the early church in the book of Acts it talks about the fellowship of believers. We hear about the believers gathering together in one place, devoting themselves to teaching, fellowship, prayer and holding all things in common. In an effort to continue to connect with other women we will have women’s ministry events throughout the year.  Our first event was a dinner at El Vaquero in Perrysburg and we had a wonderful time of food and fellowship with twenty-two women. All women of the congregation and friends are invited to join us for our next Ladies Night Out on April 8th. Watch for location information to come.

Pastor Jaci Tiell

The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me. He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners. God sent me to announce the year of His grace. Isaiah 61:1
